Combined License, B.A., & M.A. Training Degree
Procedures and Requirements
Mature Christians (normally over the age of 30 years) who graduated from high school or hold a GED may elect to complete the requirements for license and qualify for a B.A. in Christian Counseling and M.A. in Clinical Christian Counseling.
Complete Phase I
Courses Each candidate must complete the following 5 courses:
Additional Requirements Each candidate must:
- Complete a practicum. This consists of administering the A.P.S. to 10 individuals under the direction of an assigned and approved clinical supervisor.
- Upon completion of the required courses, submit the following
a. Written responses to 50 ethical questions posed by N.C.C.A.'s National Licensing Board of Examiners. $50 for first year's annual dues. b. A signed Application for Certification/Membership from and a signed copy of N.C.C.A.'s code of Ethical Standards. c. Written responses to 500 Question Open Book Equivalency Exam on the Bible (Old and New Testament - KJV. d. Matriculation and transfer fees of $1200 payable to: The College Fund.
After completing all of the requirements for Phase I, the candidate will (assuming everything is in order) receive:
- Certified Temperament Counselor
- Clinical Member (non-clergy) or Professional Clinical
- Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Counseling
Complete Phase II
Courses Each candidate must complete the following 4 courses:
Additional Requirements Each candidate must:
- Complete a practicum. This consists of administering the A.P.S. to 15 additional individuals under the direction of an assigned and approved clinical supervisor.
- Upon completion of the required courses, submit the following:
a. Signed Application for License form. This Application for License form also authorizes the N.C.C.A. to secure a national background check to verify each candidate's history. b. A licensing fee of $100.
After successfully completing all of the requirements for Phase II, the candidate will (assuming everything is in order) receive:
Or, if it best describes the candidates local ministry, he/she may request to be licensed as a Licensed Clinical Christian Counselor (regardless of degree level).
Annual membership and license renewal is required. Membership is $50 per year and license renewal is $20 per year (total $70). A signed affidavit verifying continuing education must be submitted annually.
The tuition for each Phase I and Phase II course is $250. this includes shipping, and handling and all course supplies/materials. Candidates are expected to pay for each course when it is shipped.
NOW OFFERING "HOW TO START A COUNSELING MINISTRY AND TAKE IT HIGHER". Avoid ministry failure, by learning to develop your vision and set your goals. You will explore the diferent concepts of a home office, church office, and personal office space. Learn ways to begin advertising and reaching your community. This course will help you make sure to have a strong start in your ministry which will bring greater success in the future. It is an advanced level course, in that it will be considered part of the Doctoral course requirement if you choose to take it. The cost is $250 as are the Phase 1 & 2 courses.
*Candidates who are already ordained, licensed or commissioned as a minister of the gospel; are automatically exempt from this course. Candidates who are not already ordained, licensed or commissioned as a minister of gospel will be required to complete this course through the National Conservative Christian Church and become commissioned as a Minister of Counseling.
Complete Phase III
Courses Each candidate must select and complete eight (8) advanced courses.
Additional Requirements Each candidate must:
- Upon completion of the required courses, submit the following:
a. Two copies of a written thesis. This normally consists of 25 reports (case studies) developed from the candidate's work with 25 individuals using the A.P.S. reports. A format is provided in the course titled Temperament Case Studies. b. Matriculation and transfer fees of $1500 payable to: The College Fund. c. $50 made payable to the N.C.C.A. to upgrade the candidate's license to the M.A. level of Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselors. d. A complete up-to-date resume, including photograph.
The tuition for each advanced course is $186. this includes shipping and handling and all course supplies/materials. Candidates are expected to pay for each course when it is shipped.
After successfully completing all of the requirements for Phase III, the candidate will (assuming everything is in order) receive:

Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor

Appropriate Board Certification counseling certificates for selected specialty areas

Master of Arts in Clinical Christian Counseling
The B.A. will be awarded through Calvary Theological Seminary. However, a list of several universities where the Masters can be obtained is, here. The student will select the university of his or her choice and indicate this choice in a letter of authorization which accompanies the Master’s degree transfer request. The student does not contact the university directly. In His Image Counseling & Training and NCCA serve as the liaisons between the student and university.
Note: This program is a combination License, B.A. and M.A. Program. Commitment to the entire program is required. A candidate cannot complete the B.A. portion and then discontinue his/her studies unless providentially hindered. The B.A. will be considered invalid if the M.A. requirements are not fulfilled.
