Dr. Lisa Winchell

Dr. Lisa Winchell founded In His Image Institute of Counseling and Training as a Christian Counseling service in 2003. It became a Certified Academic Institution of the National Christian Counseling Association in 2004. Lisa has a Master's degree in Clinical Christian Counseling and a Doctorate in Ministry, and she is an NCCA Licensed Clinical Christian and Pastoral Counselor, Certified Temperament Therapist, and Clinical Supervisor. Lisa is an Ordained Minister of counseling. Her Bachelor's work was completed at Lee University, and her Master's studies were done at Regent University and completed through the National Christian Counseling Association and Cornerstone University.  She earned her Doctorate in Ministry from Manifest Theological Seminary.  She has 20+ years of experience in counseling, teaching, and successful workshops in the areas of temperament counseling, marriage and family counseling, anxiety and depression, inner healing from pain and trauma, walking out your true identity in Christ, addictions, unwed mothers, and personal development.  She desires to see people from all walks of life live in the victory Jesus bought for us through His death and resurrection.  At In His Image, our goal is to lead you into personal victory and deeper connection in your walk with God, yourself, and others!

Susan Wilcox

Susan Wilcox (Intern) is an NCCA Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor,  Certified Temperament Counselor, and an Ordained Minister. She holds a Master of Science Degree in Education, a Bachelor of Ministry, and an Associate in Biblical Studies.  She continues to work on her Doctorate in Pastoral Counseling, completing courses such as Marriage and Family Counseling, Christ-Centered Mindfulness, Making Life Healing Changes, and more.  Before entering Pastoral Counseling, Susan worked extensively in education and corporate positions.  Her experience in counseling is in ministry to those with addictions and codependency issues.  She has volunteered in prayer ministry at the Healers House.  Her heart and desire is to seek and serve the Lord by helping others be all God has created them to be!

Our Services

We provide Christ-centered counseling, and we train pastoral counselors, as well.  We equip and provide credentials to Christians who hear the call of God to lead people to victory through the ministry of counseling.  We provide counseling and coaching to individuals and groups. To accomplish these goals, we use two primary tools. All courses, counseling and coaching plans will include the Word of God as primary in discovering the deepest needs of every human being and the answers to every one of those needs. Secondly, the Arno Profile System to determine the counselee's unique temperament needs, strengths, and weaknesses. Together, these provide the counselor with the in-depth information needed to outline a counseling or coaching plan best suited to each client. We provide training and counseling nationwide!

We provide Christian Counseling in Sarasota, FL, and Venice, FL, and Online.
